Hospitality
Welcome and hosting
Serve on arrival teams, prepare tea and conversation after services, and help new visitors feel recognised from their first visit.
Get Involved
Cavan Congregation welcomes people of every age and stage into worship, discipleship, hospitality, and practical service. Some begin by attending on Sunday, others by helping at an event, joining a prayer gathering, or offering time to local care projects.
Whether you are new to church life or ready to take on deeper responsibility, there are clear ways to participate and a team ready to help you step in with confidence.
Shared Ministry
We build congregational life through prayerful worship, dependable volunteering, and neighbourly action that reflects the love of Christ in Cavan.
Join weekly services, prayer, music, and scripture reading as part of the gathered life of the church.
Support visits, meal trains, and practical encouragement for members and neighbours facing difficult seasons.
Help create safe, thoughtful spaces where children, teenagers, and parents can learn and belong together.
Ways To Serve
Some roles are public and weekly, others happen behind the scenes through administration, setup, transport, food preparation, communication, or one-to-one encouragement. The aim is not simply to fill tasks, but to help each person participate meaningfully in the congregation’s shared witness.
Hospitality
Serve on arrival teams, prepare tea and conversation after services, and help new visitors feel recognised from their first visit.
Prayer
Join intercessory prayer, pastoral response, and practical support for people who need steady care through the week.
Formation
Help younger members explore faith through teaching, mentoring, event support, and reliable presence.
How To Begin
Gather
Regular attendance is one of the most important ways to become part of congregational life and build lasting relationships.
Serve
Support neighbourhood projects, practical care days, and community-facing initiatives carried by the congregation and partners.
Grow
Small groups, Bible study, mentoring, and ministry preparation help people serve with wisdom and stability.
Community Life
Getting involved also means showing up for one another in ordinary ways: sharing meals, listening well, welcoming newcomers, and helping the congregation remain warm, steady, and outward-facing.
